Tips for getting your first Scrum Master job
I frequently get this question in class about how to get your first job as a Scrum Master. Mike Cohn recently put together a great article on just this topic and I wanted to make sure you all saw it. His 3rd tip is the one I usually tell people - don't be afraid to volunteer! Find your favorite non-profit and ask them if they could use the help of a Scrum Master. Explain what you have been trained to do (you have been certified, right?) and tell them you are willing to donate your expertise to help them. This then becomes valid experience you can list on future job applications.
Enjoy the article and let me know what you think!
